Overview
VinylPlayer is designed with your privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data.
Data We Access
VinylPlayer accesses the following information locally on your device:
- Now-playing information: Track title, artist name, and album title from Apple Music, used solely to display what you're listening to.
- Album artwork: Retrieved from Apple's MusicKit API and iTunes Search API to display on the vinyl record. These requests go directly to Apple's servers.
- Your saved collection: Records you save are stored locally on your Mac using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device.
Data We Do Not Collect
We do not collect, store, or share:
- Personal information (name, email, etc.)
- Usage analytics or telemetry
- Listening history or habits
- Device identifiers
VinylPlayer has no servers, no accounts, and no tracking.
Network Requests
The only network requests VinylPlayer makes are to Apple's servers (MusicKit API and iTunes Search API) to fetch album artwork. No data is sent to any other third party.
Third-Party Services
VinylPlayer does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.
Changes to This Policy
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version here with an updated effective date.
